Therapy and Consultations

My Therapeutic Approach:

Hi, my name is Kaleb Sinclair (he, him) and it would be an honor to support you throughout your journey towards healing, uncovering a deeper comprehension of yourself, and the world around you. I am formally trained in humanistic and existential phenomenological psychology. Simply put, this means that as a therapist I work with each of my clients through examining your lived experience and perspective to better understand how you comprehend and move through reality. It is through examination of our lived experiences and perceptions that we can become more attuned with how we operate, respond, and live in this world and can facilitate healing for ourselves and in our relationships.

Specifically, I work with my clients to improve internal and relational communication through exploring different facets of your identity, trauma, relationships, societal and systemic issues. I integrate my practice style with your goals for therapy to help you come away with a deeper comprehension of yourself and your processes, in an effort to help you navigate the complex challenging world beyond the therapeutic space. As well as learn to traverse the intricacies of human relationships and how you can all learn to communicate, respond, and co-creatively build a more unified, healthy, and diverse world.

In our work together I will support you at a pace that feels best for you and where you are currently at in your journey. My therapeutic style is empathetic, authentic, supportive, and infused with anti-oppressive practices that welcome all within the community. I am here to listen with intention, to reflect, hold space, and be insightfully challenging to nurture growth and introspection.

Clinical History and Credentials

I am a licensed mental health counselor associate graduated from Seattle University with my MA in psychology and a BA in community psychology from University of Washington. My therapeutic approach stems from an existential therapy foundation paired with intersections in Feminist, Liberation, Community, Cognitive Behavioral, and Dialectical Behavior approaches. Ultimately, I believe you are the expert of your own life. I seek to acknowledge the dehumanizing forces in this world and those that can play a part in effecting your life. I intend to work with you to find creative, empowering, and life respecting ways to heal and create positive change. Before starting my own private practice, I worked in community mental health services as a therapist at Atlantic Street Center who serves primarily low income family, youth, and adult individuals in the BIPOC community.
